✨ Today marks the start of Mental Health Awareness Month. But for some of us… it’s not a month. It’s a lifestyle. A fight. A survival skill.
I didn’t just learn about mental health from a textbook—I lived it.
I bled for it. Broke for it. Rebuilt myself from the inside out because of it.
Mental health isn’t a buzzword or a hashtag. It’s the quiet breakdown you had in the shower that no one saw. The mask you wore for years to make other people comfortable. The guilt you carried for needing help.
It’s the meds you were shamed for, the therapy you couldn’t afford, the truth you were afraid to speak.
But here’s what I’ve learned:
✨ You don’t have to “be okay” to be worthy.
✨ You don’t need a diagnosis to deserve compassion.
✨ You’re not broken—you’re becoming.
This month isn’t just about awareness.
It’s about giving voice to what’s been silenced.
It’s about looking yourself in the mirror and saying: I’m still here. I made it. I matter.
So whether you’re thriving, surviving, numbing, or just barely crawling forward—I see you.
And I want you to hear this loud and clear:
Your mental health matters every damn day. Not just in May.
