đ§ ⨠Today marks the start of Mental Health Awareness Month. But for some of us⌠itâs not a month. Itâs a lifestyle. A fight. A survival skill.
I didnât just learn about mental health from a textbookâI lived it.
I fell because of it. Broke for it. Rebuilt myself from the inside out because of it.
Mental health isnât a buzzword or a hashtag. Itâs the quiet breakdown you had in the shower that no one saw. The mask you wore for years to make other people comfortable. The guilt you carried for needing help.
Itâs the meds you were shamed for, the therapy you couldnât afford, the truth you were afraid to speak.
But hereâs what Iâve learned:
⨠You donât have to âbe okayâ to be worthy.
⨠You donât need a diagnosis to deserve compassion.
⨠Youâre not brokenâyouâre becoming.
This month isnât just about awareness.
Itâs about giving voice to whatâs been silenced.
Itâs about looking yourself in the mirror and saying: Iâm still here. I made it. I matter.
So whether youâre thriving, surviving, numbing, or just barely crawling forwardâI see you.
And I want you to hear this loud and clear:
Your mental health matters every damn day. Not just in May.
