Welcome to the Mental Health Lab
A Mom, mental health advocate and Psychology student on a mission to help others live their truth.
Let’s talk about it. You can’t move on and get it out of your mind
until you physically get it out of your body.
Our Mental Health affects every aspect of our life.
Let’s control it.
Not let it control us.
So let’s talk about it, sing about it, scream about it, cry about it.
Dance about it. Walk about it, run about it, jump about it. Skip about it……idk….
Whatever works for you…. But we are learning to love ourselves together.
And heal as a community…. JOIN US
Mental health affects every single part of our lives, whether we realize it or not.
It influences how we think, feel, communicate, cope with stress, build relationships, make decisions, and navigate the challenges of everyday life. Yet despite how important mental health is, many people were never taught what it actually means, how it works, or how to take care of it.
That’s what the Mental Health Lab is here to explore.
This is a place where we break down mental health into understandable, real-life conversations. No confusing jargon. No judgment. No shame.
Just honest discussions about what it means to be human.
What Is Mental Health?
Mental health is more than a diagnosis.
It includes our emotions, thoughts, behaviors, coping skills, self-esteem, relationships, stress levels, and overall well-being.
Just like physical health exists on a spectrum, mental health does too.
Everyone has mental health.
Some days we feel balanced and resilient. Other days we struggle.
Mental health is not something that only affects certain people. It affects all of us.
What You’ll Find Inside the Mental Health Lab
Inside this lab, we’ll explore topics such as:
• Anxiety and stress
• Depression and low mood
• Trauma and recovery
• Grief and loss
• Emotional regulation
• Self-esteem and self-worth
• Boundaries and communication
• Burnout and overwhelm
• Neurodivergence and mental health
• Coping skills and resilience
• Mindfulness and self-awareness
• Psychology and neuroscience insights
• Mental health myths and misconceptions
• Everyday habits that support emotional well-being
We’ll look at both the science and the lived experience behind these topics because understanding why something happens can often help us feel less alone.
Why Mental Health Awareness Matters
Many people spend years believing something is wrong with them when they are actually responding normally to difficult experiences.
What looks like laziness may be burnout.
What looks like anger may be grief.
What looks like weakness may be trauma.
What looks like overreacting may be a nervous system that has been stuck in survival mode for far too long.
Awareness helps us replace shame with understanding.
When we understand what’s happening inside ourselves, we become better equipped to respond with compassion, curiosity, and healthier choices.
Our Goal
The goal of the Mental Health Lab isn’t to tell you who you are.
It’s to help you better understand yourself.
To ask questions.
To learn.
To reflect.
To experiment.
To discover what works for you.
Because there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing, growth, or mental wellness.
This is a laboratory for learning, exploring, and building a healthier relationship with yourself.
Whether you’re struggling, healing, curious, supporting someone you love, or simply trying to understand your mind a little better, you’re welcome here.
Let’s learn together.
