Welcome to the Resources Lab
You Don’t Have to Figure It Out Alone
One of the biggest things I learned during my healing journey was that help isn’t always found in a therapist’s office.
Sometimes it comes from a book.
Sometimes it comes from a song.
Sometimes it comes from a random podcast episode, a YouTube video, a movie scene, a support group, a quote, a conversation, or a piece of information that suddenly makes everything click.
For years, I searched for answers. I read. I listened. I watched. I researched. I asked questions. I followed rabbit trails. I tested ideas. I kept what helped and let go of what didn’t.
The Resources Lab is where I share those discoveries.
What Is the Resources Lab?
The Resources Lab is a growing collection of tools, recommendations, references, and resources that have helped me better understand myself, my mental health, my grief, my trauma, my relationships, and my healing journey.
Some resources were life-changing.
Some simply helped me see things differently.
Others gave me words for experiences I couldn’t explain.
This lab exists to help you find information, support, inspiration, and understanding in whatever way works best for you.
What You’ll Find Here
Inside the Resources Lab, you’ll find resources such as:
- Books and audiobooks
- Podcasts
- Movies and documentaries
- YouTube channels and videos
- Websites and online communities
- Mental health tools
- Worksheets and self-reflection exercises
- Newsletters and articles
- Support organizations
- Apps and technology
- Music and playlists
- Comedy and humor
- Educational content
- Research and psychology resources
- Free and low-cost support options
And probably a few unexpected things along the way.
Not Every Resource Will Be For Everyone
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all.
The podcast that changed my life might not resonate with you.
The book that helped you might not help someone else.
The goal isn’t to tell you what to think.
The goal is to give you options.
Think of this lab as a giant buffet of ideas, tools, and perspectives.
Take what helps.
Leave what doesn’t.
Come back when you’re ready for something new.
Some Resources Are Mine. Some Are Not.
You’ll find content I’ve created myself, but you’ll also find recommendations from people, organizations, creators, educators, researchers, therapists, advocates, and everyday humans who have helped me learn and grow.
I don’t believe healing happens in isolation.
I certainly didn’t do it alone.
Many people helped me along the way, even if they never knew it.
This lab is my way of paying that forward.
